Nancy Lee Noble, Beloved Interior Designer
and Community Member, Passes Away at 83
Nancy, a longtime resident of South Orleans, passed away peacefully near to her daughter on November 22, 2024, in Media, Pennsylvania at the age of 83.
Born in Wellsville, New York on August 20, 1941, Nancy graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Facing life’s challenges with courage, she moved from New York State to Eastham in 1972 with her three children to start anew on the Cape. Her determination, generosity, keen eye for detail, and artistic talent allowed her to build a successful design business, Interiors Etcetera.
Nancy was a dedicated community member. She served on the Board of Directors of the Orleans Senior Center and also volunteered time with the Canal House and local small business groups.  An avid reader, she was a frequent visitor to the Orleans Snow Library. Friends fondly remember her love of cribbage, art and creative writing, which brought many of them together.
In her later years, Nancy enjoyed watching Cape League Baseball and even hosted several players from the Orleans Firebirds (Cardinals) in her home. Baseball was a sport she cherished, having shared it with her father since childhood.
She was a loving mother survived by her three children, Jay Larson, Jilee Patterson (nee Larson) and Peter Noble, and a proud grandmother to three grandchildren, Emma Lee Patterson, Sam Patterson and Jedidiah Noble.
Her remains were cremated as per her wishes.  To celebrate her life, a reception for friends and family will be held in the new year on Cape Cod. Please email nln2025mem@gmail.com for details.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Orleans Senior Center in her memory.
