A Little Light Decorating

CHATHAM – It’s an aid to celebration on the town’s most famous aid to navigation. It’s the wreath on Chatham Light, and it was hoisted in place by the crew of Coast Guard Station Chatham Monday morning.
The wreath is reminiscent of the seal of the U.S. Lifesaving service, the Coast Guard’s predecessor, with crossed oars over a life ring of holiday greenery. The wreath features the emblems of the Coast Guard and the Coast Guard Auxiliary, with red and green buoys for added holiday cheer.
