When it comes to buying or selling a house on Cape Cod, the choices for a realtor are many. You want someone who knows the Cape, you want someone with experience, yet you also want someone who is maybe new and enthusiastic about the world of real estate.

Tony Guthrie realized this. “There is so much young talent in our area!” Guthrie has years of experience, not only in real estate but in the luxury hospitality sector, too (he was the resort manager at Wequassett and asset manager at Wychmere). He told me he realized there’s not a lot of mentorship opportunities out there for the next generation entering the field. “Let's face it,” he said with a laugh. “Sometimes it seems like they speak a different language. So I decided to embrace what the younger generation had to offer.”

“His guidance has meant the world to me,” said Alfred Schofield, Guthrie's co-managing partner and sales associate in the newly established group. Schofield’s background in business (he co-founded the plant-based supplement brand VitalFit Nutrition, which was eventually acquired by TB12, Tom Brady’s health and wellness brand) plus his Cape Cod knowledge made him a perfect partner for Guthrie‘s new group. The two added Emily Glynn as group administrator and Victoria Anfuso and Wesley Krell as sales associates.

“Emily’s experience with customer service has been invaluable,” said Guthrie. “And Victoria’s knowledge of Boston and the South Shore adds to our group. Plus they both know so much about social media and technology. Wesley has a lot of experience working on the Cape in the food and beverage industry and a bunch of energy and hospitality know-how. All of us share a kindred spirit for the real estate industry that benefits us and thus benefits you, the buyer or seller.” Imagine having this entire team working with you on your real estate needs.

The Guthrie Schofield Group values community, too, and the power of giving back. “We volunteer our time weekly and have several events throughout the year that benefit the communities we live in and work in,” said Guthrie. “We feel the more business we do, the more we can give back.”

The two also acknowledge that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices/Robert Paul Properties is the perfect platform for them, saying “They are wildly supportive of all that we do.”

“The best part of our group is that we learn from each other,” said Schofield. “Our team has spent 90-plus collective years on the Cape and the South Shore. We are deeply entwined with our local communities.”

“Our dedication extends beyond transactions. It’s about transforming your aspirations into the lifestyle you’ve always dreamed of,” said Guthrie.
