Brewster In Bloom Parade Brightens A Dreary Sunday

BREWSTER – Colorful umbrellas seemed almost as plentiful as blooming daffodils on the sidelines of Sunday’s Brewster in Bloom parade, which delighted crowds of spectators who braved Sunday’s spring showers.

From marching musicians and colorful floats to crazy costumes and a procession of fire engines, the parade hit all the high notes befitting Brewster in Bloom’s 40th anniversary. The parade, which crept west along Main Street from Eddy Elementary School to Swamp Road, was sponsored by Uncle Pete’s Chowder House. It featured Brewster’s Person of the Year, Bob Dwyer.
