No Foolin’: Firefighters, Friends Swim For Hubbard Family

WEST CHATHAM – Under drizzly skies, dozens of swimmers joined the April Fools of the Chatham Fire Department for a quick plunge in Nantucket Sound Sunday.

The event raised money and support for the family of Chatham teacher Shannon Hubbard and her infant daughter Maggie June, who perished in a house fire last year. To help, search for the "April Fools Plunge for Hubbard Family" GoFundMe page.

The first responders have been plunging into the cold Sound waters for 18 years, with each swim raising money for a deserving local resident.
