Moving On Up…To The East Side!

Gustare Gourmet opened its new location last week, and the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and Merchants Association, along with town officials, welcomed them back to the east end of Chatham’s Main Street at 400 Main with a ribbon cutting. Simpler Pleasures Interior Design owned by Heather McGrath were neighbors with Gustare, owners David and Catherine Ferraresi, when they first opened on Chatham’s Main Street 15 years ago, and now they’re neighbors again! Thirteen’s A Lucky Number

Thirteen AmeriCorps Cape Cod workers did a great job clearing branches and debris from the trails at the Ryder’s Cove Marconi land on March 18. Trails were defined and two areas were prepared for benches made by the Chatham/Harwich Woodworkers. Their work is a good start for a planned opening of trails to the public in the fall of this year. Chatham’s Herb Bassett was more than willing to share his shucking proficiency with his 10-year-old grandson Chris Brooks last week. Brooks mastered opening oysters with an adeptness that many of us still struggle with. Brooks’ mother Rebecca Brooks said she’s happy to see the fishing traditions passed on through the generations. Hats Off To The Friends Of The COA
