Lower Cape Basketball Players Represent In All Star Game

A select group of boys and girls basketball players from the Lower Cape’s high schools represented the region on Sunday when Al Faria’s Cape Cod All Star Games returned to Hyannis following a four-year absence due to COVID-19.

Cape Cod Tech senior Trevor Ryone, Monomoy juniors Tamarr Washington and Jackson Rocco, and Nauset junior Joe Berardi each made the Lower Cape Boys squad, which earned a 119-103 victory over the Upper Cape All Stars after Washington was named the Most Valuable Player after finishing with 20 points.

The Upper Cape girls narrowly defeated the Lower Cape team, which included Cape Tech sophomore Gianna Lubash, Monomoy seniors Susannah Brown and AJ Gates and junior Jojo Ready, and Nauset senior Jordyn Streitmatter.
