A Large Largemouth Bass
----Alexander Press, Orleans resident Melissa De La Vega’s nephew, was one of MassWildlife’s Sportfishing Awards Program winners for the 2023 fishing season. Press caught the largest largemouth bass, 22-and-a-half inches long, in the Youth Catch and Release category. MassWildlife will recognize the 2023 Gold Pin Winners at its annual awards ceremony on Saturday, March 23 at MassWildlife field headquarters in Westborough. COURTESY PHOTO

Valentines For Vets
---- Chatham Girl Scouts recently hosted their sister Girl Scouts from Harwich and Brewster at the Doc Keene Scout Hall for the annual tradition of making Valentines for Vets. The cards, the result of much creativity, go to local veterans as well as the Brockton and Providence VA medical centers and the veterans farm in Gilson, N.H. Pictured are the girls who participated. Quill And Mo
------ Last weekend, Cape Rep’s Young Company showcased their student body with two performances back-to-back. The sound design for both shows was the inspiration of Quill Adamsons, pictured here with Mo Hanlon, the director of the program and of the two plays. Now entering its eighth year, “YoCo” provides free professional theater training to young actors grades eight through 12 from all over the Cape eager to learn the craft of acting through an intensive rehearsal and production process.
