Deborah R. Cobb
Alexandria, Virginia – Deborah Robson Cobb passed away peacefully on January 24th 2024 at her daughter Sarah’s home in Alexandria, VA.
Married to Carl M. Cobb for 50 years, she was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts. A graduate of Colby College, Ms. Cobb had a career in banking in Massachusetts and Seattle, Washington.
While raising her children in Sharon, Massachusetts, Ms. Cobb was elected to the board of trustees of the Sharon Public Library, serving as its chair. She also sang in many choral groups including the Chorus Pro Musica and the Cecilia Society of Boston.
Upon retiring to South Chatham, MA she became involved in the Companion Animal Program of Cape Cod, serving on its board of directors for many years in several capacities. She also became active with the Latham Centers, Inc. of Brewster, where she served on its board of directors, and as its board president.
Ms. Cobb was preceded in death by her husband Carl and is survived by her two children, James of Seattle, WA and Sarah Cobb Griffith of Alexandria, VA and by four grandchildren.
A celebration of life and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers gifts in her memory may be made to the Latham Centers, Inc. or to the Companion Animal Program.
