Waving Goodbye To Summer

ORLEANS – The weather was far too good to keep people off of Nauset Beach last Friday. But at the start of the long Labor Day weekend, a hint of finality hung in the air.

Beachgoers took the opportunity for one last hurrah at Nauset Beach, which while busy, was much more subdued than in the peak of summer. Labor Day has historically indicated the end of summer on Cape Cod, even as warmer weather continues to extend further into the shoulder season.
