Minding Your Business- The Haven Center

“I was born and raised on Cape Cod, so building The Haven Center here has always meant more to me than simply opening a business,” said Haven founder and owner Chris Taloumis. “I’ve had the opportunity to be part of the cannabis industry on the Cape from its early days, and it’s been incredible to watch it grow and become part of the community.

The Haven Center is a hugely popular cannabis dispensary with locations in Brewster and Provincetown that serves clients 21 years and older. Haven is hyper-local and offers a warm and welcoming vibe every time you set foot inside one of their shops. Haven offers a variety of cannabis products and related merchandise, with friendly and knowledgeable staff members on hand to answer any and all cannabis related questions.

“What we care about most is how people feel when they walk through our doors,” said Bryan Ponte, the operations manager of Haven Center Brewster. “Cannabis can still be intimidating for some people, especially if it’s their first time visiting a dispensary. We want The Haven Center to feel warm, comfortable and approachable, whether you know exactly what you want or you don’t know where to begin. We want every customer to leave confident in what they purchased. That means taking the time to listen, answer questions and help people find what’s right for them — not simply trying to make a sale. And if someone isn’t satisfied with their purchase, we stand behind it. We’ll make it right.

The Haven Center in Brewster will mark its third anniversary with an afternoon celebration on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. This event is sure to be a fun-filled party for all in attendance! The event, at Haven Center’s location at 4019 Main St., will include local food and beverage vendors, music and activities for the community.

The anniversary gives Haven Center an opportunity to celebrate its three years in Brewster while recognizing the local businesses and community organizations it has worked with since opening.

“We’re incredibly grateful to be celebrating three years in Brewster,” said Ponte. “The support we’ve received from our customers, local businesses, and the Cape Cod community has meant so much to us. My background as a veteran has had a big influence on how I approach leadership and service. I believe in taking care of people, being accountable and doing things the right way. I try to bring those same values to The Haven Center, both in how we take care of our customers and how we operate as a team.

At the event guests will enjoy birthday cake from Eat Cake 4 Breakfast, ice cream from the Good Times Ice Cream Truck and specialty drinks from Fizzy Potions. PIXY 103 will be on site to provide music and entertainment during the afternoon.

“This celebration is our way of saying thank you and bringing everyone together for a fun afternoon,” Ponte said. “We’re excited to continue growing, supporting local organizations, and being part of this community for many years to come.”

The anniversary celebration will be held Saturday, Sept. 5 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haven Center Brewster, 4019 Main St. One thing to note is that all guests must be 21 or older to attend. Be sure to stop by for all the fun and celebrate!
