Cape Cod Baseball League Postseason Begins

The Cape Cod Baseball League postseason has arrived. Playoff action gets underway with divisional semifinals starting Tuesday. All rounds are best-of-three series.

In the East Division, the first-place Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (28-11-1) were set to host the fourth-place Chatham Anglers (19-18-3) in Game 1 at Red Wilson Field on Tuesday at 4 p.m.. Game 2 was set for Wednesday at Veterans Field at 7 p.m. Game 3 (if necessary) is Thursday 4 p.m. at Red Wilson Field.

Also in the East Division, the second-place Brewster Whitecaps (25-12-3) were scheduled to host the third-place Harwich Mariners (21-19) at Stony Brook Field on Tuesday at 4 p.m. for Game 1. Game 2 was set for Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Whitehouse Field. Game 3 (if necessary) is Thursday 4 p.m. at Stony Brook Field. The fifth-place Orleans Firebirds (16-24) did not advance to the postseason.

In the West Division, the first-place Hyannis Harbor Hawks (22-18) were set to host the fourth-place Cotuit Kettleers (13-25-2) at McKeon Park on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for Game 1. Game 2 was scheduled for Wednesday 4 p.m. at Lowell Park. Game 3 (if necessary) is Thursday 6 p.m. at McKeon Park.

Also in the West Division, the second-place Bourne Braves (18-19-3) were slated to play the third-place Falmouth Commodores (17-21-2) at Doran Park on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for Game 1. Game 2 was set for Wednesday 6 p.m. at Guv Fuller Field. Game 3 (if necessary) is Thursday 6 p.m. at Doran Park. The fifth-place Wareham Gatemen (14-26) did not advance to the postseason.

Division finals are slated for Friday through Sunday, with the championship series being played next Monday through Wednesday.
