HARWICH – The Garden Club of Harwich was putting smiles on peoples’ faces this past week with Lonely Bouquets, a global random-act-of-kindness movement with a mission of brightening a person’s day with flowers.
The garden club created 72 small bouquets, and on June 2 members moved around town placing them in locations where they would be found, such as town hall, the fire department, beaches and many other public locations.
Attached to each bouquet is a tag that reads: “Take this bouquet and enjoy. Then snap a photo, share to our page where you found it and tell us how it made you feel. Tag us so we can follow the joy.”
“Many thanks to the Garden Club of Harwich for sharing joy around town with these beautiful arrangements. This one was found today right outside Harwich Town Hall,” one person responded.
“This project is bringing happiness, one bouquet at a time,” said Garden Club member Patsy Ford. “I think it was well received and we may plan to do it next year.”
