Aleks Mazzeo knew that sitting behind a desk day after day wasn't going to cut it after graduating in Poland with an engineering degree in applied materials and physics. It was through a close mentorship with a local builder and woodworker in Orleans, Dennis Dwyer, that Mazzeo learned the ins and outs of the construction trade. 

“I wanted to focus on the building side of things,” Mazzeo said. “In 2020 I decided to go full time in construction on my own. I love transforming houses into people’s homes and the before and after effect. I love what I do.”

Mazzeo Construction is based in Orleans but has reach all up and down Cape Cod, primarily focusing on the Lower Cape. They focus on new construction, renovations, restorations and everything in between. Mazzeo is committed to building a strong community, and it shows. Through the years Aleks and the team have helped to support Brewster in Bloom, Lower Cape Pride, Windmill Weekend and the Orleans Fourth of July Parade. They also host a fantastic “Mazzeo Gives Back Parking Lot Party,” offer free trolley ride transportation during Orleans’ First Friday events, and offer a free mobile sauna and cold plunge event every Tuesday at Nauset beach from 6 to 7:30 a.m.
