Peter Ambrose Zoni
April 01, 2026
August 14, 1951 – March 14, 2026
It is with profound sadness we announce that Peter Ambrose Zoni, 74, of Brewster, passed away after a brief illness on March 14, 2026.
Peter was born on August 14, 1951, in Connecticut, to Ambrose and Genevieve Zoni. He was the first-born son among eight siblings, a role he carried with pride throughout his life.
Peter spent the last 30 years as Head of Sales at Cape Cod Ready Mix, a place he proudly called his “second family.” The friendships he formed there endured throughout his life. One of his greatest daily joys was sharing a meal—whether home-cooked or takeout—with them. He loved the excitement of closing a deal, and his natural gift for conversation made him exceptionally good at what he did. A master storyteller with a warm and engaging presence, Peter had a special way of making everyone feel like a friend.
He was a man of many talents and passions. He loved to cook and could often be found making multiple trips to the grocery store in a single day to gather ingredients for his latest creation. Music was equally central to his life—when he wasn’t in the kitchen, he was playing one of the many instruments he loved, most often his guitar.
Above all, Peter’s greatest pride and joy was his family. His three children—Kristen, Michael, and Kara—were his whole world, and he was theirs. He took immense pride in his children and was deeply involved in their lives, always offering support, guidance, humor, and love. He was also deeply proud of his sons-in-law, Justin and Ryan, and cherished the close bond he shared with his two granddaughters, who affectionately called him “Poopie”—a nickname he embraced with humor and love.
Peter also shared a lifelong bond with his seven siblings, Joseph Zoni and his wife Nadine; Ambrose Zoni and his wife Denise; Alex Zoni and his wife Dawn; Marie Haase; Francesca Isola and her husband Allen; Angela Zoni Mault and her husband Joe; and Lisa Teekema and her husband Geoff as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Those who knew Peter will remember his constant whistling, his easy smile, and his unwavering positivity. He was larger than life—someone who brought warmth, energy, and joy wherever he went. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the many lives he touched.
We love you more than all the stars in the sky. Continue to burn bright, wherever you are.
A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family. More information to follow.
