Cape Cod Christian Academy To Participate In National Prayer Movement

by Mackenzie Blue

BREWSTER – In early March, the Cape Cod Christian Academy will host a four-day event in connection with the Great American Prayer Revival, a nationwide movement “calling for unity, repentance and hope.”
The Great American Prayer Revival (GAP26) is a faith-based initiative started by Hank Erwin, an evangelical Christian leader and former Alabama state senator. The movement “seeks to unify diverse communities through prayer, worship, and outreach to address societal challenges and foster national spiritual renewal.”
The Cape Cod Christian Academy will be hosting a line-up of speakers and worship between March 1 and 4. Dr. Buster Keith Waters and Dr. Tracy L. Waters, founders of the school, are Massachusetts representatives for the GAP26.
On Sunday, March 1, Reverend Lawrence (Buzz) McErlean of the Anglican Church of the Resurrection will lead participants in prayer focused on unity. A worship in song will be led by Tracy. The event will begin at 10 a.m.
On Monday, March 2, Tracy will provide an introduction to the nationwide movement, explaining the significance of GAP26 and its connection to Brewster. Reverend Myron Heckman of the Cape Cod Bible Alliance Church will follow with a sermon tailored to the purpose of the movement, followed by worship in song, presented by his wife Rita Heckman. All programming will begin at 7 p.m.
On Tuesday, March 3 at 10 a.m., Reverend Mike Pratt of the Redemption Rock Church in Chatham will offer words of unity.
For the final day of prayer on Wednesday, March 4, Tracy will be leading music and worship centered on the message of family healing and strengthening. Those services will begin at 7 p.m.
“This gathering represents more than a series of services — it is a call for unity across denominational, generational, and community lines,” said Buster. “Families, students, pastors, and civic leaders will come together with one purpose: to pray for the future of our nation and raise the next generation of leaders who understand faith, freedom, and responsibility.”
