Monomoy Honors Student Athletes At Spring Awards Night

HARWICH – Monomoy Regional High School recognized more than 100 student athletes and multiple teams Monday, June 9 at a spring sports awards night.
The softball, girls golf and boys lacrosse teams were recognized as Cape and Islands League champions. Kiley Mawn, for softball, and Tamer Khalil, for boys lacrosse, were league MVPs.
More than 40 Sharks were named league all-stars this spring. Casey Huse, Finn Hyora, Chace Robbins, Chase Yarletts, Joey Ventura and Tyler Layton were all-stars in baseball, and Lily Furman, Alana Lojko, Kiley Mawn, Bella Bellefeuille and Kate Huse received the honor for softball. 
Maya Flaherty, Cassadi Manchuk, Paige Nash, Morgan Willis and Abrielle Long were named girls lacrosse all-stars; Tamer Khalil, Jake Giorgio, Harry Michaud, Jed Zimmerman, Cole Strzepek and Jackson Rocco were named boys lacrosse all-stars. 
Ryan Casey, Roman Pavluchenko and Zachary Shields were boys tennis all-stars, and Ella Cutter, Darcy Addison, Karina Khalsa and Cecelia Hand were girls tennis all-stars.
Ava Larocco, Fiona Moore, Emily Layton, Alexis Goode and Ashley Anderson were named girls golf all-stars. Michael Considine and Hoku Hill were sailing all-stars.
For boys track, Alique Brown, Quinn Muldoon and Chatham Gillis were all-stars. For girls track, Varvara Conley, Alexa Ford and Laura Stone were all-stars.
Also in track, the boys 4x100 relay team was honored for winning the Division 6 state championship. The relay team and Alique Brown in the 100-meter qualified for the New England Interscholastic Track and Field Championship.
Seniors Fiona Moore and Casey Huse were named Scholar Athletes of the Year. Also recognized were the Scholar Athletes of the Month for April, Alexa Ford and Harry Michaud, and for May, Emily Layton and Kade Stephens. 
Eighteen student athletes received triple crown awards for lettering in all three sports seasons: Varvara Conley (soccer, basketball, track), Autumn Escher (soccer, basketball, track), A'olani Hill (cheerleading, cheerleading, sailing), Hokuli'ili'i Hill (cheerleading, cheerleading, sailing), Madilyn Horigan (cheerleading, cheerleading, sailing), Casey Huse (golf, hockey, baseball), Finn Hyora (soccer, basketball, baseball), Tyler Layton (soccer, hockey, baseball), Abrielle Long (soccer, basketball, lacrosse), Maeve Maguire (cheerleading, cheerleading, sailing), Cameron McCutcheon (unified basketball, hockey, baseball), Amanda McIsaac (cross country, basketball, lacrosse), Fiona Moore (soccer, basketball, golf), Jarrett Morneau (unified basketball, basketball, unified track and field), Corinne Pina (unified basketball, basketball, unified track and field), Jackson Rocco (golf, basketball, lacrosse), Emily Rose Saliba (cheerleading, cross country, track), Aidan Stone (golf, hockey, lacrosse).
