Elizabeth Scrimgeour

Elizabeth Scrimgeour, 95, of Green Valley AZ passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 29 1930 in Worcester MA. She graduated from North High School Worcester MA and was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs Business School Boston MA. Elizabeth married the love of her life David Scrimgeour in 1949 and had 5 children. In 1980, Elizabeth and David built a home in South Chatham MA where they lived for 25 years before moving to Green Valley AZ.
Elizabeth was a member of the Chatham Walkers Club, enjoyed knitting, cooking, golfing and gardening. She was a theorem painting artist and had her own shop in Chatham called “Elizabeth’s” where she sold her paintings along with many handmade wooden items made by her husband. In 2005, they moved to their new home in Green Valley AZ where Elizabeth continued to enjoy life to the fullest, taking yoga classes, water exercise, playing Mexican train and volunteering in her community.
Those who knew her loved her for her positive outlook on life, love for fashion, family and faith in Christ. Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Liz Hayes (Ron), Sue Sjogren (Al), Gail Murphy (David), and Jane Hardy (Tom). She leaves 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband David and her son Mark.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
