Citizens Forum Scheduled For May 1

The Orleans Citizens’ Forum will host an informational meeting on the annual town meeting warrant on May 1 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Orleans Senior Center on Rock Harbor Road.

Panelists will include Town Manager Kim Newman, select board members Meff Runyon and  Kevin Galligan and Elaine Baird of the finance committee, who will discuss her committee’s positions on the warrant’s financial articles. The panel will be moderated by Mary Wright.

The event will give special attention to articles seeking $4.5 million for the design of a new fire station and a zoning amendment to allow marijuana courier services in town.
