Monomoy Celebrates Culture

by William F. Galvin

HARWICH – There are students from 15 different countries attending schools in the Monomoy Regional School District and each year the high school puts on a Multicultural Fair to engage students in the different cultures. Food certainly has a way of bringing people together, and it served as a centerpiece of the fair. But the fair also offers opportunities to learn more about fellow students and their cultures .With the bell sounding at the end of the school day on Friday, students came together to enjoy the culinary delights prepared by students and parents from many of these countries, and take in the international atmosphere, music, and even a little dancing.
