Jacqueline M. Barrett

Jacqueline “Jackie” M. Barrett, 94, of Harwich Port, MA passed away on September 15, 2023.

Jackie was born to Ernest and Elvira Gifford in Brockton, MA on April 2, 1929. She and her siblings were raised in Brockton and spent summers in Wareham and had wonderful memories of playing with their favorite dog, Flash, on Swifts beach.

Jackie met and married her late husband of 70 years Charles “Babe” Barrett on November 9, 1947. They built their home in Harwich Port, where they raised four children.

Jackie is predeceased by her husband and daughter, Marcia, who sadly passed away at the age of 8. She is survived by her children Donna Molander and husband, John of Chatham, Nancy Tavares and husband Steve of Dennis and Charles Barrett and wife Michelle of Harwich Port.

Jackie loved needlepoint and decorative painting, although reading was her greatest passion, sometimes reading two or three novels a week. She volunteered her time at Harwich Port library.

Services will be private.
