Cynthia G. Harding of West Chatham passed away on Saturday, February 1st, at the age of 85. A lifelong resident of West Chatham, Cynthia grew up on Main Street where she developed a deep love for her hometown as she wandered the ponds, cranberry bogs, and fields that made early Chatham famous. She later resided at the Victorian Assisted Living, where she found friendship, warmth, and exceptional care in her later years.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents Jean and Sumner Harding, her sister Jane, and Jane’s husband “Pat” Patterson, as well as her nephew Jeffrey Patterson. She was a quiet, gentle soul who found joy in simple pleasures like bowling and knitting.
She is survived by her niece, Judy Patterson, and nephew James Patterson, along with his wife Jennifer and their children Ashley and James. She was also lovingly remembered by her favorite first cousins—Dianne Hamilton, Martha Phillips, and Priscilla Young—who remained devoted friends throughout the years.
Cynthia will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Services have already been held.
