Fire Rips Through Brewster Green Condos

BREWSTER – The fire and police departments responded to reports of a fire early Tuesday morning on Cherrywood Lane.
According to a fire department press release, the first crew to arrive after the 1:13 a.m. alarm found the two-story structure containing four condominium units heavily involved in fire.
All condo units were unoccupied and no injuries were reported. According to a map of the Brewster Green Resort, the units were marked available for guests.
Fire suppression efforts lasted over an hour, with a second alarm called for mutual aid from Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans and Eastham. Reports note the fire was under control by 2:51 a.m.
According to the press release, the cause and origin of this fire is under investigation by the state Fire Marshal's Office and is not believed to be suspicious.
