“How many delivery trucks do you have,” I asked Paige Marsh, controller of the Cape Cod Oil & Propane company.
“They are constantly coming and rotating out,” she said with a laugh. “I really don’t know how many there are!”
Marsh said that the company has three locations.
“There’s a Provincetown office and one in Eastham and Harwich, too. We are accepting new customers for both oil and propane installations and service. We cover the entire Cape.” They own two gas stations on the Cape as well, in Wellfleet and Truro.
The current owner is Hurst Tasha. His father, Mike Tasha, started the company in 1974 with one delivery truck and one service truck. The family-owned business has grown by always providing dependable delivery of high-quality heating oil, propane, diesel, and gasoline, Marsh said. “And no delivery fees.”
The company provides 24/7 service. “You call us if you run out and we’re there,” she said. This includes their marine and construction customers, too. Last year, Cape Cod Oil took over Whiteley Fuel and keeps the Chatham fishing boats fueled.
The company has payment options. “Our monthly budget plan spreads the higher costs during the winter months over the entire year,” Marsh said. “You pay the same amount each month, even if you get two deliveries some months. The plan is adjusted if you use less fuel than projected. There is also a ‘price cap program.’ Because fuel prices fluctuate, we offer a solution to that. We set a limit on how high the oil price can rise per gallon based on the current prices. If the price drops, you pay the lower amount. Ask about this program and the monthly budget and how you can even pair the two.”
Propane is also a great heating alternative, she said. “Especially now with the surge of so many homeowners installing generators which are propane fueled,” she said. She also stressed that they do automatic deliveries, give prompt pay discounts and offer fuel assistance.
Cape Cod Oil is a true family-owned business and one you can rely on.
