Town records indicate that the building was constructed in 1980 and contains four commercial condominium units, including a real estate office and a hair stylist. All the unit sustained at least some damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Orleans Fire and the state fire marshal's office. Though it is not known whether they sparked the blaze, the lithium-ion e-bike batteries in the bike shop apparently played some role in the fire, Fire Chief Geof Deering said.
A healthy Barnstable County requires great community news.
