NORTH EASTHAM – Getting it done with his arm and his legs, Brendan Peno’s efficiency helped the Nauset football team cruise to a lopsided 48-28 Cape and Islands League win over Falmouth.
The junior quarterback completed 16 of 20 pass attempts for 230 yards and four touchdown passes. He connected with senior Owen White (five catches, 55 yards) for a pair of touchdowns through the air, and found his younger brother, Jack, a freshman wideout, and senior Joe Berardi for passing scores.
The dual-threat Peno wasn’t limited to the passing game, however. He also rushed for 108 yards and two rushing touchdowns on 11 carries.
Friday marked back-to-back victories for Nauset (4-2), which will try to make it three in a row when it hosts Blue Hills at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
