John Robert Bonscher

John Robert “Bob” Bonscher passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
Bob was born on July 28, 1939 in East Orange, New Jersey to the late John and Dorothy Bonscher.
Bob graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering in June of 1962. He then served three years in the U.S. Air Force and was discharged with a rank of 2nd Lieutenant in April of 1965.
After leaving the military, Bob returned to the NJIT to complete a Master’s Degree in Engineering Sciences.
Robert and his beloved wife, Frances were married in 1966 and resided in Roseland, New Jersey.
He had a long career in business development, sales and sales management of technology software that required significant expertise in both the science and technology. Bob’s strength lay in his relationships with the clients and his technical support and the relationship building between the two, because he realized the value of such connections in successful business development. Many of these associations flourished into long lasting friendships.
Bob and Frances enjoyed many years of extensive travel throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Bob was also an ardent reader and an enthusiastic tennis fan who enjoyed playing as time permitted.
In 2006 Bob and Frances relocated to East Orleans, Massachusetts. Robert was involved in the Council on Aging, the Orleans Pond Coalition and made many wonderful friends over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Bonscher of East Orleans, MA, a sister, Jacqueline Bonscher of Toms River, New Jersey, and sister -in-law, Ruth Prall and brother-in-law, Mark Prall of East Orleans, MA.
