5K For The Children Returns To Harwich Port Sept. 28

HARWICH PORT – Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to Harwich Port for the 5K For The Children race on Sept. 28. 

 The race will kick off at 10 a.m. and start and finish next to the chamber of commerce headquarters and benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Last year’s inaugural 5K For The Children raised $3,500 for each charity. 

 The first 200 registered participants will receive a free race T-shirt. There will be an after party and awards ceremony featuring Red River BBQ, and participants will be able to show their official race bib to their Red River BBQ for two free beers after the event.
