Athlete Of The Week: Adrianna Morgan

 NORTH EASTHAM – Nauset senior Adrianna Morgan is living the life she envisioned. 

 After daydreaming about the day she would be a senior for the Warriors volleyball team, Morgan is finally getting the opportunity to fulfill her wish. 

 The Brewster resident and team co-captain helped Nauset roll to a 3-0 victory over Rising Tide on Monday, finishing with a team-high seven aces and two digs in the Warriors’ 25-6, 25-13 and 25-9 win. 

 The team’s 3-3 start has been a thrill for Morgan, who long dreamed about playing a senior season alongside her co-captain, fellow senior Olivia Richards.

 “We’ve been friends since day one,” said Morgan. “Liv and I have known each other since we were little tots, so there’s a connection on the court and off the court. We were on varsity our sophomore year playing to our fullest, and now we’re seniors and we’ve been to camp and put in the work and we’re ready to start winning.”

 Morgan said this year feels different for the Warriors, a veteran-led team with 10 upperclassmen, including seven seniors.

“I think most of us have reached our full potential at this point,” she said. “We were on varsity our sophomore year playing to our fullest. Now we’re seniors and we’ve been to camp and put in the work and we’re ready to start winning.”
