Breakers FC Soccer Club Returns To Brewster
BREWSTER – The Breakers FC soccer club is returning to Brewster.
After finishing as the runner-up following a loss to the defending champion Nauset Storm in last year’s Davis Cup Championship, the Breakers FC will return to Brewster this summer to play its home matches at Freeman’s Way soccer field.
Breakers FC is entering its 14th season in the Cape Cod Soccer League, which was established in 1970 and includes the Nauset Storm, Upper Cape United, AC-Independence, Mid-Cape Unites, Scorcha FC, Stable United and Bosh United.
Matches are held almost every Wednesday and Sunday nights in June and July before the Davis Cup Championship playoffs begin during the first week of August.
Breakers FC will open its home schedule against Mid-Cape United at 6:15 p.m. June 19.
In partnership with its longtime sponsors Newcomb Hollow Gift Shop and the Flying Fish Cafe, Breakers FC is set to host its annual fundraiser from 6 to 8 p.m. June 20 at the Flying Fish in Wellfleet. Fans are invited to attend and enjoy free pizza, live music and raffle prizes from 15 to 20 local restaurants, artists and businesses.
