That’s A Wrap!

Monday marked the unofficial end of summer. But over the weekend, before school began and summer folks headed back home, we sent our staff and contributors out with instructions to capture photos of scenes that said “end of summer” to them. The last band concert, the end of beach patrols and solitary stretches of shoreline spoke to photographers as they endeavored to encapsulate the end of the season. Of course, according to the calendar there are still a few more weeks left to summer, and the increasingly popular fall shoulder season means the crowds won’t end on Labor Day. But for many, the passing of the holiday signals a transition to a quieter time of year.
