Chronicle To Delay Publication This Week
For the first time in years, the print and e-editions of The Cape Cod Chronicle will be delayed this week because of the blizzard.
"The problem stems not only from the power outage in Chatham, but in Seekonk, where the paper is printed," Executive Editor Alan Pollock said. Seekonk is near the epicenter of the storm's snowfall, Fall River, which saw some 40 inches of snow. "The last time we were unable to print the paper on time was because of the tornado in 2019," Pollock said. "Still, it's an unfortunate inconvenience for our readers, and we apologize for that."
The Chronicle will be posting most of the stories from this week's paper on our web page, which is free for everyone to access. As always, updates on the storm and items of interest to public safety will be posted immediately.
The delay in publication will not only affect our print edition, but also our electronic edition, a .pdf facsimile of the paper available to subscribers. We will post updates as new information is available.
