February 11, 2026
Gladwin Janine Kelley, age 80, of Harwich Port, Massachusetts, born in Hyannis, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. A 10th generation Cape Codder, our beloved “Gladie,” daughter of Winfred and Gladys Kelley, sister of late brother Paul Kelley and sister Kellie (Kelley) Bigos. She is survived by her nephew, Daniel Matthew Bigos and her great niece, Alana Danielle Bigos.
She was known as always being positive, smiling and eager to have a good chat with friends and customers who she considered friends. She dedicated most of her life to the care of her mother and brother. She spent many summers driving them and her nephew Daniel up to Maine for summer vacation. And every Saturday, taking a drive to Hyannis and having lunch at McDonnald’s. A veteran of 43 years as Head Teller at the Cape Cod Five in Harwich Port, she touched the lives of many people, spreading light and a smile every day. The last few years of her life were blessed with sharing time with contemporaries at the Victorian House and then at Liberty Commons. Both places, she was blessed with the utmost quality of care and support from truly noble professionals. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly.
A graveside ceremony will be held at the West Dennis Cemetery at 10:30am on Friday, February 13th. Donations in her name will be accepted by the Pilgrim Congregational Church of Harwich Port, 533 MA-28, Harwich Port, MA 02646.
