Sons Of The American Revolution Pays Respect To Revolutionary War Patriots
The Colonel Henry Knox Regimental Color Guard, along with men from the Yarmouth Minutemen and Militia Company, fire a musket volley with three rounds to honor the three Patriots.
Members of the Brewster Boy Scouts Troop 77 led the Pledge of Allegiance and laid wreaths on the three gravesites of the Revolutionary War veterans.
Revolutionary War reenactors stood at attention throughout the entire ceremony.
The gravesites were marked with a granite stone and a ceremonial wreath. The stone had a Sons of the American Revolution inscription.
David Schafer, president of the Sons of the American Revolution Cape Cod and Islands chapter, led the event.
BREWSTER – On Saturday, Oct. 25, members of the Cape Cod and Islands chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution held a grave marking ceremony at Brewster’s Red Top Cemetery.
The event honored three American Patriots — Stephen Homer, Reuben Sears and Joseph Sears — who are buried in the cemetery.
