Anti-Facism Protest Planned For Saturday

ORLEANS – “When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up. You have to say something; you have to do something."
Those words spoken by the late U.S. Representative John Lewis serve as inspiration for a protest against fascism on the Orleans/Eastham rotary on Saturday.
Nauset Citizens Alliance and Good Trouble Cape Cod are hosting the Stand Against Facism, which the groups call a “peaceful standout” against policies employed by the Trump administration since January. The protest will be held on both sides of the rotary Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Saturday’s standout will precede a larger No Kings event planned at the Salt Pond VisItors Center in Eastham on Oct. 18, one of several that are planned across the country on the same day.
A healthy Barnstable County requires great community news.
