Claire Ann Pedicini
January 30, 2025
Claire Ann Pedicini, née Parrington, died peacefully at her Cape Cod home on January 14, 2025, surrounded by those who cared for and loved her until the very end.
Born June 1927 in Jamaica, New York, Claire was the seventh of Laura and William Parrington’s eight children, all of whom preceded her in death.
For 51 years, Claire was the devoted and cherished wife of Nicholas Anthony Pedicini, who predeceased her in 2002. Their life together was vibrant and always exciting as they lovingly raised seven children: James Pedicini (Sonja) of Saratoga, CA; John Pedicini (Cynthia) of San Francisco, CA; Laura Pedicini Lunig (Nick) of Carlisle, MA; Kenneth Pedicini (Annie) of Cotuit, MA; Elizabeth Pedicini (Paul) of West Harwich, MA; Pamela Pedicini (Scott) of Rowley, MA, and Julie Wall (David) of Reading, MA.
Claire deeply loved her grandchildren and enjoyed hearing about all of their joys and successes. At the same time, she provided a wise and warm sounding board for their struggles. Tait Reimers (Casey), Marisa Pedicini, Nicala Pedicini, Alisa Pedicini, Dr. Nicholas Lunig (Melanie), Emma Lunig (Jacob), Alex Pedicini (Meaghan), Kyle Pedicini, (Kellie), Maggie Pedicini, Michael Wall and Natalie Wall will cherish her memory.
In addition to her immediate family, Claire leaves behind several nieces and nephews, three of whom she and Nick welcomed into their large family, becoming their guardians when Nick’s brother died.
Claire delighted in spending time with her family. She was also an avid reader who enjoyed crossword puzzles with her glass of wine at 5:00 in her little Cape Cod house in Harwich Port.
Claire’s life was immersed in her Catholic faith. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in West Harwich, MA, where she volunteered with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul until her final years. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to St. Vincent De Paul Society, P.O. Box 682, West Harwich, MA 02671.
A funeral mass will be held in March at Holy Trinity Church, 246 Main St (Route 28), West Harwich.
A Celebration of Claire’s Life will be held in June.
