Thomas M. Curnan, 67
September 12, 2024
Thomas, best known as Tommy Jones, passed away unexpectedly from heart failure while visiting a close friend in Florida on August 29, 2024.
Tommy was born July 23, 1957 in Connecticut, where he spent his youth. In his teenage years, he entered the Navy during the Vietnam war. Tommy’s passion for music led him to travel the country following the Grateful Dead for many years.
Tommy finally settled down in the New England area and spent the last 30 years of his life living on Cape Cod. He worked many jobs throughout his life, including cement and foundation work
Tommy was a laid-back, down-to-earth, man. Tommy’s free spirit made everyone he met feel welcome and comfortable. He will fondly be remembered for his frequent bonfires and music which gathered the neighborhood together. He loved his fires, music, NASCAR and hanging with friends. Tommy passed away in a hospital overlooking the Daytona Speedway with his friend by his side.
He is survived by two siblings and a nephew, Raymond, whom he loves very very much.
Tommy’s friends will keep the fire of his spirit alive in our hearts forever.
There will be a private celebration of life on Sept. 21.
