Andrew Joseph Neal

Andrew Joseph Neal, Sr., 70, of Old Town, Florida passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 22, 1954 to the late John and Josephine Neal in Boston MA.
Andrew grew up in Maryland and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. When he was 18, he gave his heart to the Lord and never looked back. He married Deborah Lou Eiker in 1975 and they went on to travel around the country ministering to others and sharing the gospel. They settled in Horseshoe Beach. Florida where they lived until Deb’s passing in 1993. Andrew was so honored to be the father of five sons and one daughter whom he delivered. After Deb’s passing, he and the children moved to Cape Cod where he built the property management business AJN Property Management Group. In 2006 Andrew retired to Maine and it was there that he met his wife, Erika. They married in 2007 and lived in the mountains of Maine where they worked side by side to build their homestead. Andrew’s love for travel and ministry did not diminish as he grew older so he and Erika built in a sprinter van that became their home while on the road. They traveled the country visiting their friends and sharing their hearts and hands with those they came into contact with. His passion for serving others was unparalleled; in fact he bought a tractor and tiller just to till gardens for others who might want to grow their own food. He offered his services in Maine and again when moving to Old Town in 2022. Andrew never met a stranger and had an amazing way of making every person feel like they were his best friend. One of his favorite things to say was, “You matter to me and you’re not just matter.” He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Andrew is survived by his beloved wife Erika Neal, siblings Anita Doucette (John), Bruce Neal, Karin Foltz (Jim), his children Joshua Neal, Andrew Neal Jr., James Neal (Serena), John Neal (Carla Mae), Catherine Neal, and Peter Neal (Sarah), 20 grandchildren: Maya, Caleb, Kyler, Asa, Hayden, Eva, Ethan, Abraham, Elliott, Lydia, Shiloh, Theodore, Willow, Erin, Devorah, Hazen, William, Ivin, Wesley, and Edward and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother Josephine Riley, his father John Neal, his wife Deborah Neal, and his brother John Neal.
Funeral Services for Andrew will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel, with Pastor Rocky Bray officiating.
