Ann Lord DePatie

Ann Lord DePatie died peacefully in Chatham, MA on November 27, 2022. Her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Edward (Bob) DePatie, predeceased her in 2011.
Ann was born in New Haven, CT in 1931, and was raised in Wethersfield, CT. She graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1949 and from Simmons College in 1953. Ann was a long-time resident of Simsbury, CT, where she was active in many local organizations and became an avid tennis player. In the late 80s, Bob’s career took them to England for five years, and they traveled extensively throughout Europe during that time. Following Bob’s retirement in 1993, Ann and Bob moved to Chatham, where they had long had a summer home, and built their retirement home. In Chatham, Ann enjoyed working in her garden and volunteering for many local charitable organizations, including the Holy Redeemer Women’s Club, the Friends of the Eldredge Public Library, the Chatham Garden Club, and the Friends of the Chatham Council on Aging.
She is survived by her four children, Marianne DePatie Fouhey (and husband John), Robert E. “Ted” DePatie, Jr. (and wife Lynn Cornelius), Peter J. DePatie (and wife Amy) and Thomas T. DePatie (and wife Irina Faskianos), as well as her grandchildren James D. Fouhey, David F. Fouhey and Elizabeth T. Fouhey; Jason H. DePatie, Stephen D. DePatie, Joseph T. DePatie and Andrew P. DePatie; and Christopher J. DePatie; and step-grandchildren Nathan Flynn and Thomas Flynn. Her brother N. Philip “Pete” Lord, Jr. predeceased her, as did her mother Marion Toole Lord and father N. Philip Lord.
Donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Holy Redeemer Church, For the Capital Campaign, 57 Highland Avenue, Chatham, MA 02633, or the Friends of the Eldredge Public Library, 564 Main Street, Chatham, MA 02633. A Mass will be celebrated for Ann on Saturday, December 10, at 10:00 am at Holy Redeemer Church, 57 Highland Avenue, Chatham, MA. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
