That same year, in 1967, he married Ellen Walker.  They raised their 3 children Caroline, Andrew and Christopher in Chatham. Bob worked as a carpenter, served on the town’s Park & Rec dept for many years, coached youth sports there and at the high school.  He had a positive influence on many of Chatham’s youth. Before retiring he worked as a custodian at the high school. He and Ellen moved to Florida in 2015 for the sunshine and the golf. He always took great joy in golfing, camping and coaching.
