William D. Mullens

Mullens, William D. (Bill), passed away quietly at the home of his daughter, Karen Mills, on March 28, 2022. He was the widower of Marion (Tobin) Mullens.
He is survived by his family, Karen (Mullens) and Danny Mills of Harwich, Sioux (Mullens) and Rick Waks of Acton, and his loving grandchildren: Philip Mills, Caitlin Mills, Michael and Kristyn Mills, Adam Waks, Jesse Waks and also his  sister-in law, Ruth (Tobin) Piro.
Bill was born and raised in Stamford, Conn. to Lottie (Eike) and William Mullens. He worked at Conde Nast Publications in Greenwich, Conn. He then joined the Army during the Korean War. Upon his return in 1951, he married Marion. During their life together he worked for American Water Works, formerly Greenwich Water Company, for 36 years.  Having built a retirement home in Harwich he retired there in 1989. Both he and Marion were very active members of the Albro House, COA. He loved to walk, and was a member, and sometime leader, of the Harwich Walking Group.  Bill also worked part-time at Cranberry Valley Golf Course, for 20 plus years, always having a smile on his face for fellow golfers.
At Bill’s request, there will be no calling hours. A private burial will be held with family members attending.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his name to the Harwich COA, or the Harwich Family Pantry.
