The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association recently named Nauset boys and girls track and field coach Moira Nobili as its 2020-2021 indoor girls track and field Coach of the Year.
Nobili, who also coaches cross-country at Nauset, was one of 21 coaches from around the state who received Coach of the Year awards for their respective sports.
“It’s all about the kids,” Nobili said in the MIAA news release. “Encourage them. Build confidence and self-esteem. Respect the competition. Help them reach their fullest potential. Compete hard and win.”
Nauset athletic director John Mattson said Nobili is "the epitome of a great coach."
"She is energetic, reliable and extremely competitive," Mattson said. "But most of all, she truly cares about each and every one of her athletes. Moira coaches three seasons for us and I can't think of anyone more deserving of this recognition. We are very lucky to have her on our coaching staff here at Nauset."
