Roberta Hennigan

Roberta (Robbi, pronounced Robie) Lyn Palmer Hennigan passed from this life to eternal life November 4th, two days shy of her 64th birthday. Her body was beaten to death by the ravages of the covid virus, but her spirit was held strongly and tenderly in the arms of her Savior Jesus. We - her husband and children - tied to this earth, mourn that she is torn from us. Yet ‘we do not grieve as those without hope’, because we know she is now repaired, healthy, truly made whole, joy-full in the love and light of God, who loves her and purchased her life and soul by His own tortuous death. We now lean on the promise of Him one day taking each of us home to Himself, where we will be reunited with her.
She was born in Manchester, Conn. in 1957, the youngest daughter of a family of mixed clans: New England Yankee (mostly Irish) dad, William Louis Palmer, southwestern U.S. Hispanic (tracing her lineage to Spain) mother, Maria Helena Sanchez, with a touch of Comanche for good measure.
If you want to know what kind of person she was, ask someone who knew her. As spoken recently to her husband by a close family friend: ‘You are a good guy, but she was phenomenal!’ She was - truly phenomenal.
Roberta and her boyfriend Matt found each other at ages 15 and 16.  After having their lives begin to be wonderfully transformed by encountering the living Lord Jesus, they married at ages 18 and 20. The Bible says “A three-strand cord is not easily broken.” By having their individual lives entwined and empowered by Jesus, the Third Cord, they were able to build a shared life built on love from God and love for people. We love her dearly and will miss her sorely.
She is survived by her husband Matt Hennigan and their daughters Marta Hennigan and Jeul (Davies), husband Jason, their daughter Nora; their son Peter Hennigan, his wife Joanna and their daughter Klara, their brothers William Palmer, Ken Palmer, Don (Sparky) Hennigan, Ben Hennigan, and their sisters, Pat Palmer, Tish Hennigan, Heather (Winkle) Hennigan, Emily Jean Hennigan, Sarah (Ostergaard) Hennigan, Karla Hahn, Maia Magadini and step-mom Linda Hennigan.
