HARWICH — Harwich has long been a seafaring town, and the nautical theme in the newly opened Bud’s Mini Golf, next to Bud’s Go Karts near the intersection of Route 28 and Sisson Road, reflects that maritime history.

The course has been open since July 1. Owners Steve Gopoyan and Swavi Osev are planning an official opening and ribbon-cutting for Thursday, July 22 (today) at 9:30 a.m. Gopoyan said last week that he was pleased with patron response to the facility.

“I’m really happy with it. It’s a nice fun business and it’s nice working with people on vacation in the summertime,” he said.

“It’s amazing,” 11-year-old Jack Langis of Franklin said coming off the course. “My favorite hole is the water hole, number 15.”

The 18-hole course will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (weather dependent). As business slows leading into the fall, Gopoyan said, hours will be limited to weekends into Columbus Day.
