Anyone who grew up with the Addams Family can recall the characters, music, costumes, and humor. This famous family has returned to the Chatham Drama Guild for several encore performances that are sure to bring laughter, fun, and families together this month.
“It’s a true family affair because we spend so much time together,” said Rebecca Banas, who stars as the smart, classy and often funny Morticia Addams. There are several family members who share the stage as actors, directors, ushers, and behind the scenes. This creates a multi-generational experience and lasting memories in an age when families are so often pulled in separate directions.
“For many of the kids in the show, this is their first experience on stage,” said Banas, who encourages parents to perform with their kids for inspiration and support.
This live family show is spooky without being “scary spooky,” and it will tickle those who remember the family as kids. The script is packed with humor that appeals to both kids and adults while the music has a Halloween vibe without being scary or dark. Those who appreciate high quality performances from experienced actors will find it at the Chatham Drama Guild.
After a successful five-week summer run, the famous family is back on the Drama Guild stage through Oct. 20. Trick or treat? It’s a treat for all!
