As we tuck in at our holiday tables, we know there are plenty of reasons to be thankful. And you’re one of them.
That’s because, between Thanksgiving and Christmas each year, Cape Cod Chronicle readers dig deep to support the Family Pantry of Cape Cod through our Helping Neighbors campaign. Together, we’ve raised hundreds of thousands of dollars that help local families put food on the table. While there are many worthy charities in our community – and you would do well to contribute to any of them – we’re honored once again to lend our support to the Family Pantry.
Their nearly 700 volunteers regularly lend their time and talent in the warehouse, at Second Glance Thrift Shop, on the road for the mobile pantry, and out in the community, drumming up the support that keeps the whole operation sustainable. Their operation is both efficient and compassionate. Their approach to addressing hunger on Cape Cod is innovative and tireless.
Each week, we’ll be sharing stories about the Family Pantry, its volunteers and its clients. We hope those stories inspire you to make a contribution. Do so now by clicking here.
