HARWICH – Abby Wallace, Katie Ganshaw and Abby Higgins might play soccer for Monomoy High, but they're pretty darned good at flag football, too, as evidenced by their respective performances in the annual Powderpuff Game, held Oct. 10 in honor of Homecoming week.

While the junior girls gave the game their best effort, with Kelsey Olson, another top MRHS soccer player, leading the way, the seniors owned the game from the outset, scoring an impressive 35 points to the juniors nil.

Key performances were also given by Sam Barr, Caitlin Daley, Caroline Howard, and the savvy, flag-stealing Aleidy Rodriguez, with the juniors getting solid play from Olson, Jess Currie, Ali Barrett, Emma Santoni and Olivia Hart.

The game was made possible by the Monomoy football coaches, who stepped in to referee, ensuring a fun event for all.
