Lorraine F. Nolan

CHATHAM - Lorraine F. Nolan of South Chatham died on Aug. 25, 2018 at the South Dennis Healthcare facility after a five month stay. Lorraine leaves her husband Donald A Nolan, three children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild born Aug. 22, 2018. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Anthony’s R.C. Church, Hawthorne, New Jersey on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. On Saturday Sept. 29, Donald Nolan will welcome Cape Cod friends between 2 and 5 p.m. at their residence at 108 Taylor’s Pond Road South Chatham.
Lorraine leaves daughter Laurie McCann of South Chatham and Killingworth Conn., her son Matthew and daughter Lauren. Lorraine’s son-in-law Todd McCann predeceased her in May 2018. She also leaves son Donald L. Nolan and his wife Gaylen of Spring Lake Heights, N.J. and their children Kelly and Brendan Quigley and great grandson Nolan Leo Quigley of Auduban, N.J., Courtney and Nicholas Shanley of Hamden, Conn. and youngest daughter Katherine Nolan and Matthew Conti of Philadelphia, Pa. Lorraine leaves youngest son Robert of South Chatham and his children Robert and wife Nora Nolan of Bethlehem Pa., Chelsea Nolan of Austin, Texas, Zachary Nolan of Morristown, N.J. and youngest son Tyler Nolan of Brooklyn N.Y.
In addition she leaves nephew William Frauenhoff of Wayne N.J., and niece Karen and husband Tom Jones of Pennsylvania. Lorraine’s father William, mother Nellie Bley, brother Robert and his wife Elsie have pre-deceased her.
Lorraine was born in Paterson, N.J. and graduated from Central High School. She attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School and worked in New York as executive secretary at Aramco Oil and in later years worked alongside her sister-in-law Elsie at Herbert M Guston Law in Glen Rock, N.J.
At St Anthony’s Church Lorraine enjoyed being a member of the choir. In 2002 Lorraine became a member of the Chatham Garden Club.
Lorraine had the greatest love for her husband, children and grandchildren who will always remember her exceptional dinners and deserts, laughter and love. A Jersey Girl at heart, forever.
