Anglers, Mariners and Firebirds All-Stars Set To Shine In Annual Game

The 2018 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Stars were named this week, with six from Chatham's squad earning spots on the East Division roster, five from Harwich, and two from Orleans. They are all set to show their strengths in the July 22 game being held this year at Whitehouse Field in Harwich.

Fans of the Anglers will cheer on Dan Hammer, Blake Sabol, John Rave, Tristin English, Troy Miller, and Greg Velez, while Mariners fans will keep their eyes on Aaron Schunk, Tanner Morris, Andre Lipcius, Andrew Misiaszek, and Tom Sutera, while JJ Bleday and Kevin Kelly will represent the Firebirds.

Fresh from his time with Team USA will be Chatham's Spencer Torkelson taking on the home run hitting contest, along with Anglers teammate Blake Sabol, and Nick Osborne of Orleans.

Leading the East Division All-Stars will be Orleans head coach Kelly Nicholson.

Gates open at 2 p.m., in time for East batting practice from 2 to 2:55 p.m., with East All-Stars signing autographs between 3:05 and 3:45 p.m. The home run hitting contest will start at 5 p.m. and the game begins at 6:05 p.m.
