HARWICH PORT — A popular eatery in Harwich Port, the Land Ho! Restaurant, is set to change hands next month.
The sale is expected to take place on Feb. 26, and the restaurant will remain open through Feb. 18. When it reopens under new ownership, it will be known as the Lanyard. The announcement was made Monday by Harwich Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cyndi Williams as part of an event held by the State Senate Retail Task Force.
The business is currently owned by Dillon Murphy, whose family will retain ownership of the Land Ho! in Orleans. The buyers are Ben Porter, the owner of Viera restaurant in West Harwich, and two other men with local ties.
Murphy has operated the restaurant since 2010; before then, it was the 400 Club, which opened in 1969.
